Another peek inside the massive live archives of The Muddy Boots Band! Often dubbed the 'fastest jam band in the land' these three selections are from a 1996 show in Atlanta, Georgia during the 'Riptides and Tie Dyes' tour. They showcase the speed, dexterity and improvisational prowess that made MBB such a fantastic live act and such a driving force in the jam band scene of the 90s.
'Oatmeal' was the traditional opening song during the tour and features nimble guitarist Chris Pastures at his creative peak.
'Pickle Jar Road', always a crowd favorite, is lengthened from a usual 8 seconds running time to an astonishing 25 seconds(!) allowing Rob Haggard, Joe Godek and Ed Kline to explore the limits of the track's melody.
"Papa's Masseuse' closes out this set with an amazing percussive performance from drummer Chris 'Froggy' Adams. A rollicking track that proves the Muddy Boots Band could really lay down a groove!
This archive release is dedicated to Marcus, Laura, Alex and the Dungarees family
